Last Saturday, April 26th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, a new edition of the Altos de Chavón Market took place, an event that once again filled the gardens of the iconic destination with life, color, and creativity.
Throughout the day, visitors of all ages enjoyed a varied offering of handcrafted products in a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere. Each stand showcased local talent with unique pieces ranging from handcrafted ceramics, hand-embroidered sandals, and jewelry with Dominican larimar and amber, to hand-woven bags, custom denim clothing with hand-painted art, traditional Dominican mortars, natural cosmetics with special discounts, artisanal baked goods, and an irresistible gastronomic selection, such as traditional paellas.
Among the participating exhibitors were Creativas Beauty, Tahis Alam, Marlina Jewelry Art, Arvelo Woods, and Cocolísimo by Cory. In gastronomy, there were Abuela Empanadas, Rebecca Baker, Ecocaprino, Casa de Campo Grill, and Paella Los Gorditos. Additionally, there were Abeja Dulce RD, Ely Panguasco, and a popcorn station.
The Altos de Chavón Market has become one of the most anticipated platforms for artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs to showcase their work, consolidating this space as a cultural meeting point that celebrates Dominican identity through art, design, and gastronomy.
The event, organized by the Altos de Chavón administration, continues to strengthen its mission of supporting local creativity and offering residents and visitors an authentic and enriching experience.
