The 40th edition of the prestigious Casa de Campo Annual Sugar Golf Tournament, organized by Alfy Fanjul, has once again been crowned an overwhelming success, bringing together nearly 300 international golfers from April 3-6, 2024. This emblematic event took place on several courses within the resort, including Teeth of the Dog and La Romana Country Club, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere for the participants.

The event kicked off with an elegant welcome cocktail on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Minitas Beach Club in Casa de Campo, where the nautical company IBI Yachts had the honor of being the host. The distinguished golfers and guests were welcomed by Mauro Caslini, President and CEO of IBI Náutica, along with his children Alice Caslini and Federico Caslini.

As part of the activities that identify this tournament, Casa de Campo villa owners, friends and family of the golfers who participated in the tournament enjoyed shopping for gifts, accessories, jewelry, clothing, and a delicious lunch organized by La Romana Country Club, held on Saturday, April 6th from early in the morning.

During the luncheon, guests were delighted with two fashion shows, one for children, presenting the elegant collection by El Faldellin by Surelis, and another highlighting the impressive linen suits by designer Mariu Jones, modeled by young people from the MIR Foundation.

The tournament's highlight arrived that same Saturday night with a dazzling awards ceremony and an exquisite dinner at La Romana Country Club.

The festive atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and fun, with cocktails and a spectacular poolside buffet.

Mr. Alfy Fanjul, along with his daughters Crista Ryan and Lilian Fernández, and his lifelong friend Jamie Niven, had the honor of presenting numerous awards to the outstanding tournament winners, including beautiful jewelry, handbags, and trophies, in recognition of their exceptional performance on the golf courses.

Before dinner, guests were treated to a fireworks display, which added a touch of magic to an already memorable evening. And to top it all off, the band invited everyone to the dance floor, where the beat of disco music brought the night to life with infectious joy and energy.
