
The team La Suiza was crowned champion of the Casa de Campo Open tournament.
The final match was held this Saturday, March 30, on court 2 at Casa de Campo Polo Club, a sold-out game in which the champions defeated the team 3J Power INF by a score of 12 to 7.
The La Suiza team was led by polo players Alex Schad, Pablo Avalos, Alex SCHAD (Jr.), and Dennys Santana, while the runners-up were Miguel Mendoza, Gilberto Constanza, Julián Díaz, and Julio López.
“What an incredible end to the season, what a spectacle, so many people, my goodness. What camaraderie and what gentlemen the 8 players are," stated Fernando Arata, director of the polo tournament and pro of Casa de Campo Challenge.
Arata reported that the Most Valuable Player was Argentinian Pablo Avalos and the Mare Kheira was awarded BPP/Best Playing Pony of the final played by D Santana.
“I have no words other than to thank all the Casa de Campo players who make this possible,” Arata added.
The final match was a full house, on a day awaited by polo players, tourists, the public, villa owners, and community members. La Suiza de Colorado and 3J Power de Negro gave their all on the field in an exciting duel between top-level polo players, on a court in excellent condition for a season finale that will remain in everyone's memory.
