The Casa de Campo® community celebrates a significant achievement in national golf. Raúl Cendoya, General Manager of La Romana Country Club, was proclaimed champion of the 2026 National Match Play Championships, organized by the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf) and held last August 2 at Punta Espada Golf Club, Cap Cana.

The tournament brought together the best amateur and professional golfers in the country, who qualified after placing among the top positions in the National Stroke Play Championships, establishing itself as one of the most demanding competitions on the national calendar.

In the professional category, Cendoya advanced to the final after defeating Pedro Peña in the semifinals. In the decisive match, he faced the 2024 edition champion, Julio Santos, prevailing 2 up with a birdie on hole 18 to claim the national title.

This triumph represents an important recognition of Raúl Cendoya's career and commitment to the sport, while also filling the entire Casa de Campo community and La Romana Country Club with pride, reaffirming the high competitive level of the professionals linked to our community.
