
Last Friday, September 4, Casa de Campo Resort & Villas welcomed Lorena Ochoa, one of the great legends of world women's golf, who experienced a very special day and played for the first time o Teeth of the Dog®, the iconic course designed by Pete Dye and recognized as one of the best in the world.
The former world number one and winner of two Majors took part in a golf clinic for special guests, led by David Collado, minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic; Leo Matos, executive vice president of Central Romana Corporation; y Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, president of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. During the event, the milestones that cemented her legendary status were highlighted, including her 27 titles on the LPGA Tour, her historic streak of 158 consecutive weeks as world number one, and her induction into the prestigious World Golf Hall of Fame.
During the gathering, Ochoa shared her experience, offered technical advice, and conveyed some of the values that marked her successful professional career. The activity also included the presence of children from Casa de Campo's golf academy and youths from the Dominican Golf Federation, who had the opportunity to interact with one of the most important figures in the history of Latin American golf.
