Carolina Rainer de Matos, organizer of the Ladies Polo Cup, explained that one of the main purposes of the initiative is to support the work of Madres Maravillas, a program developed by the Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO).
The initiative has benefited more than 140 women from La Romana through technical and vocational training, guidance for the development of entrepreneurial ventures, and support to facilitate their insertion into the labor market, providing them with tools aimed at strengthening their economic independence.
"We want to show that women can lead in sports, in business, and in social transformation. This cup is a symbol of strength, elegance, and purpose. From the players who bring discipline and excellence to the field, to the sponsors and strategic allies who make the event possible, everyone is part of a movement that transcends sports," said Rainer de Matos.
The organizer also highlighted that the holding of a fourth edition represents a milestone of maturity for the Ladies Polo Cup, both in terms of the growth of the competition and the reach of its social component.
"It is no longer just a tournament; it is a comprehensive experience that unites sports, female leadership, luxury, and philanthropy," she expressed.
