American Airlines is once again resuming the historic Miami to La Romana International Airport route with a daily non-stop flight connecting this long-standing and growing tourist destination in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic with the most important city in the state of Florida.

The ceremony for the arrival of flight AA3071 was enlivened with traditional Dominican music and dances, and included the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony led by executives from Central Romana, Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, American Airlines, and Miami-Dade Commissioner Kevin Cabrera, President Anthony Rodriguez, and Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Danny Perez, as well as the aircraft's captain and crew.

“Welcoming the passengers of this daily American Airlines flight from Miami is like welcoming a good friend back home, as this air connectivity has been a tradition for our airport, our Casa de Campo resort, and the villa owner community,” said Luis Emilio Rodriguez, director of La Romana International Airport.

“Today, our La Romana destination has developed and strengthened with the investment and presence of new hotel chains, offering travelers entering through our air terminal a variety of accommodation options, within the framework of a tourist hub that continues to grow steadily,” Rodriguez pointed out.

For their part, American Airlines“ regional manager Oliver Bojos highlighted the importance of the route's reopening for the airline, as this daily flight strengthens its presence with more than five destinations across the country. ”We are proud to be able to continue growing in the Dominican Republic through our much-anticipated return to La Romana," Bojos stated.

This daily American Airlines flight has a scheduled itinerary departing from Miami at 10:37 AM and landing in La Romana around 2:00 PM. The return flight to Miami from La Romana takes off at 3:15 PM.
