
La Romana International Airport celebrated the arrival of the first flight from World2Fly Portugal, originating from Lisbon, on the afternoon of Friday, June 6th, marking the official start of the 2025 summer season.
The new route reinforces connectivity between Portugal and the destination La Romana, consolidating the growing interest of the Portuguese market in enjoying the beauty and quality that the Dominican Caribbean offers. World2Fly will operate this weekly connection until Friday, September 26, using its modern Airbus A330-300 with a capacity of 352 passengers.
The passengers of the inaugural flight were welcomed with a warm reception by airport staff and tourism destination representatives, in an atmosphere that reflected La Romana's hospitality and commitment to service excellence.
