Altos de Chavón Presents "Jardines de Chavón," the New Collection by América Olivo

On Saturday, August 15, Altos de Chavón was the stage for the presentation of «Jardines de Chavón», the new collection by artist América Olivo, created in collaboration with the ceramics, screen printing, and weaving workshops of the renowned cultural enclave.

The collection, available at Artisan Chavón, brings together a series of everyday and decorative objects crafted entirely by hand. The proposal finds its inspiration in the textures, landscapes, and traces of time that inhabit the architecture of Altos de Chavón, from its emblematic coral stone to the shapes and natural beauty of its surroundings.

The project represents a dialogue between the artistic vision of América Olivo and the talent of the artisans who are part of the ceramics, weaving, and screen printing workshops of Altos de Chavón. Through this collaboration, the collection reinterprets the essence of the place —its amphitheater, its architecture, and its Caribbean landscape— and transforms it into pieces that carry the identity of Altos de Chavón to new spaces.

The presentation, held at 6:00 p.m. at Artisan Chavón, brought together residents, visitors, and members of the artistic community, who had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the creative process behind each piece and purchase the complete collection.

With this initiative, Altos de Chavón reaffirms its commitment to promoting art, local craftsmanship, and collaboration between artists and traditional workshops, consolidating its position as a living space of creation and cultural expression within Casa de Campo®.
