
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas celebrated the first edition of its Casa de Campo Fashion Week from June 4-7, an event that integrated the world of fashion with the luxury tourism and lifestyle that characterizes the destination. The agenda included fashion shows, art, wellness, and inspiring talks, positioning the Dominican Republic on the regional fashion circuit.
The program began with the inauguration of a photography exhibition at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery, featuring fashion photographer Jesús Cordero and Dominican artist Mister George. Afterward, it moved to the Marina Riverside Center for the main fashion shows, under the creative direction of Sandro Guzmán.
The first nights of fashion shows were dedicated to Dominican talent, with collections from designers such as Giannina Azar, Jacqueline Then, and JC Lagares, Mayle Vásquez, among others. The event featured the participation of 90 models from the Ossygeno Models agency. We mention the presence of the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, to formally kick off the event, accompanied by Mr. Leo Matos, Executive Vice President of Central Romana, and Andres Pichardo Rosemberg, President of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas.
On Saturday, the Grand Finale Runway Show brought together designers such as Jenny Polanco, the 42nd graduating class of Chavón School of Design, Carolina Socias, Oriett Domenech, Rafael Rivero, and international guest Custo Barcelona. Former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres was the official ambassador of the event, and her son participated as a guest model.
The agenda also included the panel «The Art of Balance,» where wellness and lifestyle experts shared their perspectives. The panel was comprised of Adelina, Maral Artinian, Dayanara Torres, Dr. Lisbeth Méndez, Dr. Elio Galán, and Dr. Marcos Pumarol, with moderators Luz Garcia and Marta Gonzalez.
The week concluded with a brunch and a designer pop-up at Villa Opulenta. «This first edition was born to celebrate creativity, promote talent, and project the country as a destination where luxury and culture converge,» stated Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing at Casa de Campo.
