El Encantador Chavón continues to captivate residents and visitors with its vibrant Farmer’s Market, an experience that combines the variety of artisan products with the dynamism of the community. This time, the market dressed up for romance to celebrate Valentine's Day, transforming its charming gardens in front of the Genesis Discotheque into a feast of love and creativity last Saturday, February 10th.
Various entrepreneurs, both local and international, came together to share their unique talents and products. Among them, the jovial and fun handmade jewelry from «Hand and Soul RD» stood out, using polymer clay to create unique pieces that delighted everyone present. «Lucero Tejidos» also left their mark with their handmade baskets and bags, adding a touch of traditional craftsmanship to the market's atmosphere.
Authenticity arrived with María del Pilar Zarazua, showcasing her delicately crafted jewelry with religious touches that reflect the essence of her Mexican culture. Meanwhile, «Shalty» transported us to Colombia with its wide variety of hats, wallets, and bags, infusing an air of exoticism and color into the event.
Of course, there were plenty of sweet details fitting for the occasion, with heart-shaped and kiss-shaped desserts that delighted the attendees' hearts. And as is customary at every event, the paella, that iconic dish that unites flavors and cultures, was the culinary highlight of the day.
The Altos de Chavón Farmer's Market transcends mere commercial transactions, serving as a true showcase of local creativity and talent. This event, organized by Costasur and the Altos de Chavón management, goes beyond the buying and selling of products; it's a platform to support the economic development of the region and enjoy the craftsmanship and quality that only handmade work can offer.
With each edition, the market is consolidated as a meeting point for the community, fostering diversity and the entrepreneurial spirit in the Dominican Republic. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this unique experience, where love for craftsmanship meets love for community. We look forward to seeing you at the next Altos de Chavón Farmer's Market!
