
From Thursday, February 8th to Saturday, February 10th, the fourth edition of the Sailfish Bowl Fishing Tournament was held at the Marina de Casa de Campo, located on the coast of La Romana, Dominican Republic.
This year, the tournament featured the participation of 10 fishing teams, bringing together approximately 40 fishing enthusiasts from various countries. Over two days, participants had the opportunity to enjoy exciting fishing sessions in the region's crystal-clear waters.
The tournament director, Paco Vela, emphasized that this event goes beyond sports competition, as it seeks to integrate Dominican culture into the participants' experience. It is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the cultural and natural richness that the Dominican Republic offers.
The official opening of the tournament took place on Thursday, February 8th, where attendees were warmly welcomed by authorities from Casa de Campo and the Ministry of Tourism. Among the distinguished guests were several representatives from the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, including Ana Vilchez, Director of Maritime Tourism; Roberto Mejía, Head of New Tourism Segment Development; and Elizabeth Núñez, Head of Maritime Tourism.
For his part, Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expressed his satisfaction with the successful execution of this tournament, highlighting the continuous support that Casa de Campo provides to sports and tourism in the region.
The tournament winners were announced with great excitement during the awards ceremony on Saturday, February 10th. The prizes were distributed as follows:

Islamár: First place, prize of 1500.
Ambar: Second place, prize of 1200.
Trilo Bite: Third place, prize of 900.
