Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Establishes Solidarity Tradition with Golf Tournament

La Romana. – Arturo Fuente Cigar Club has established a tradition with its third edition of its annual fundraising pro-am golf tournament for the Humo de Amor Foundation, which benefits the education of approximately 500 children in vulnerable situations. 120 players participated in a friendly competition held at the country's most prominent golf course: Teeth of the Dog® at Casa de Campo Resort® & Villas. On this occasion, participants enjoyed brand experiences at each hole and had international tobacco industry brands as guests. Hosting the event were Ciro Cascella, CEO of Arturo Fuente Cigar Club, and John Paul Garrido, LATAM Commercial Director for Arturo Fuente Cigars, who expressed their gratitude for the support received at the event, which aims to continue transforming lives through education.

“We are very grateful for the receptiveness and willingness of each participant in this tournament, which has a great social purpose. A contribution that we know will be repaid in the future with opportunities and transformation in the lives of more than 500 Dominican families,” stated Ciro Cascella.

The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony for the best players and a lunch featuring the highest quality cigars, high-end spirits, and an ideal gastronomic pairing.

The Humo de Amor Foundation was founded in 2002, operated by the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, and located in the municipality of Bonao, Monseñor Nouel Province. Its mission is to provide opportunities for children and adolescents to have access to education, medical care, and nutrition. 

Starting in 2020, the foundation has a polytechnic and health educational center that allows its students to develop their talents and cognitive skills to become competent young professionals ready to enter the job market. This year, there are a total of 410 academics and 33 students graduating from the 2022-2023 class.

In this third edition of the event, there were brands such as Lexus, Ministry of Tourism, Boveda, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, Gamma, United Capital, Equifax, Banreservas, Autozama, Mercasid, Casa de Campo, Grupo Estrella, Seguros Crecer, SENASA, ARS Reservas, El Catador, Evergo, Trattoria Pizzarelli, Haagen Dazs, The OX Society by M. Iriarte, Farmacia Los Hidalgos, Café Borbone, Pepperoni, Brugal, Bogey by Lo’ Garri.
