American Chamber of Commerce Holds XXVI Ambassador's Cup at La Romana Country Club

Last Saturday, May 16th, the La Romana Country Club golf course at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas was the scene of the twenty-sixth edition of the Ambassador’s Cup, a tournament organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) that brought together executives, businessmen, and community members for a day of sports and fellowship.

The competition, in honor of the former United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Charles Taylor Manatt, who served from 1999 to 2001, has become a tradition within the organization's event calendar. It featured 124 golfers who competed in a two-person scramble format, with prizes awarded for the top scores in categories A, B, and C.

Jorge Yunén and Marcos Rosario took first place gross and were awarded the Ambassador's Cup after scoring 66 strokes. In category A, Carlos Ramírez and Víctor Collado were the net winners with 63 strokes. The second net place in the same category went to Michael Cuello and Diego Enmanuel Cuello with 65 strokes. The third net place was awarded to Wilfredo Baquero and Gustavo Betances with 66 strokes.

In Category B, the net first-place winners were golfers Alejandro Peña and Enrique Fernández with 64 strokes. In net second place, with an equal score of 64 strokes, were Richard Bonilla and Juan Guerrero, followed by Pedro Dajer and Hans Bortis with 65 strokes in net third place.

In Category C, Juan Carlos Matos and Joel Moya took first place with a total of 62 net strokes. They were followed by Luis Miguel Patiño and Franklin Díaz in second place with 64 strokes, and Giancarlo Farías and Julián Barceló in third position in the category with 67 strokes.

The event stood out not only for the sporting caliber of the participants, but also for the setting offered by Casa de Campo Resort and La Romana Country Club, recognized for their facilities and their track record in organizing institutional and social tournaments.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony where recognition was given to the winners and attendees were thanked for their participation. The Ambassador's Cup is part of AMCHAMDR's initiatives to foster networking and commercial relationships in a relaxed atmosphere of community integration.

This is a staging environment
