On Friday, May 24th, the talented students and teachers of Abraham Lincoln School held the exciting inauguration of the Annual Art Exhibition at the Altos de Chavón Gallery.

From 7 PM, both floors of the gallery were filled with a vast display of creativity, where paintings, crafts, and artisan works created by students from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th Grade filled the hallways with a showcase of color, imagination, and Dominican identity.

The highlight of this exhibition was the inclusion of recycled materials in many of the works, demonstrating the students' commitment to sustainability and boundless creativity.

The presence of the children accompanied by their parents added an aura of excitement and pride to the evening, reflecting the effort and dedication invested in each of the works exhibited.

The Abraham Lincoln School's Annual Art Exhibition at Altos de Chavón Gallery is one of the most anticipated events by the community, highlighting the talent and passion of young students.

About Abraham Lincoln School

The school, founded in 1917 and owned by the Central Romana Corporation, is located on its pleasant grounds within the Central Romana complex in the city of La Romana, Dominican Republic.

The school has 40 teachers, 25 of whom are British and 15 are Dominican. The language of instruction is English, but some subjects (Spanish Language and Literature, Dominican History and Geography) are taught in Spanish, in addition to English, by Dominican teachers.

In primary school, the curriculum followed is that of the British National Curriculum, and in secondary school, it is the I.G.C.S.E. (International General Certificate of Secondary Education). Students in grades 11 and 12 applying to U.S. universities take the SAT and TOEFL exams.
