Below we share information of interest for the Costasur Community, and upcoming events for the month of November.
Altos de Chavón toasted to Oktoberfest

Last Saturday, October 17, the Main Plaza of Altos de Chavón became the epicenter of the Oktoberfest 2026 celebration, an evening that blended German tradition with the community spirit of Casa de Campo. The event, which began at 7:00 p.m., brought together residents and visitors for a night marked by music, gastronomy, and good beer.
The highlight came at 8:45 p.m. with the official "Prost" toast, led by Mr. Andrés Pichardo, President of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas; Mr. Juan Velázquez, Vice President and Administrator of Costasur Casa de Campo; and Mrs. Marcela Pizarro, General Manager of Altos de Chavón. Together they invited the public to raise their mugs and shout "Prost!" in unison, in a gesture that symbolized the spirit of fellowship of the German festival.
With this celebration, Casa de Campo reaffirms its commitment to offering experiences that integrate international traditions with local talent and the sense of community that distinguishes its residents and visitors. The Altos de Chavón Oktoberfest thus consolidates itself as one of the most anticipated activities of the October season.

Care, supervision, and responsible pet ownership

Below, we present some recommendations for the care and supervision of your pets, in order to comply with established rules, preserve good coexistence, and maintain a clean and pleasant environment for everyone.
• Pets must remain within their property and must not be loose in common areas or visit other residences.
• Always walk your dogs on a leash.
• All dogs and cats must wear an identification tag with their owners' contact information so that, in case of loss, they can be contacted easily and quickly.
• We recommend placing a brightly colored or reflective collar on your dog or cat so that it is visible during the day and at night.
• Consider installing a special fence or enclosure for cats (in some cases called "catios"). This allows them to enjoy the outdoors without the risk of escaping or facing dangers.
• Keep your cats and dogs up to date with their vaccinations; pets outdoors are more exposed to parasites and viruses.
• Pick up your pet's waste to keep the environment clean.
• Do not feed feral cats around your property, as this practice can encourage their presence and uncontrolled reproduction.
To report a lost or found pet, please contact Guardianes Costasur at extensions 5193 / 5194.
Recommendations for minimizing mosquitoes

In order to preserve the health of our residents and visitors, we are reinforcing our mosquito prevention campaign. Below, we share some recommendations to avoid breeding grounds and their reproduction:
• Wash all containers where water is stored, preferably cleaning the inside with chlorine.
• Avoid water accumulation in gardens and containers such as pots, gutters, bottles, tires, and buckets. It is advisable to install screens on decorative ponds or fountains that cannot be moved or removed.
• Change the water in the vases at least twice a week.
• If the pool is not in use, keep it covered. If it is enabled for swimming, treat the water with products that prevent the development of larvae.
• Change your pet's food and water bowls at least every two days.
