Hakuna Group Music Concludes International Mission in La Romana with a Concert of Worship

The farming community of Cacata, in La Romana, was the setting where Hakuna Group Music concluded a three-week mission in the Dominican Republic with a free worship concert. The event brought together local residents and visitors from different parts of the country and abroad, who shared a day marked by music, prayer, and community fellowship.

More than 120 young missionaries from Spain, Mexico, the United States, and the Dominican Republic participated for the second consecutive year in this experience organized in sugarcane communities of the Eastern region. During the mission, the volunteers carried out activities with children, teenagers, and families, including prayer sessions, games, singing, and integration gatherings. The daily schedule also included the celebration of Mass and moments of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The initiative was coordinated by the Casa Pater foundation and supported by Central Romana.

The closing concert featured some of Hakuna Group Music's best-known songs, such as "Huracán," "Sencillamente," "Madre de Hakuna," and "A ti te alabo," performed by the musicians alongside a choir of more than 30 voices. One of the central elements of the event was the installation of a chapel behind the stage, where the Blessed Sacrament remained exposed throughout the concert, offering a permanent space for prayer and reflection.

Founded in Spain by priest José Pedro Manglano, Hakuna combines music, prayer, and service, and has performed at venues such as the WiZink Center in Madrid and the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. With this concert, the group concluded its second mission in the country, leaving open the continuity of the community and religious actions carried out alongside families in the Eastern region.
