The Superintendency of Electricity (SIE) held a new certification and licensing session for electrical technicians last Thursday, August 27, in which 19 Costasur Dominicana employees were recognized for their training and competencies in the electrical sector.

The activity is part of the certification program that the SIE is promoting nationwide to ensure that electrical services are carried out by qualified personnel, in compliance with the provisions of the General Electricity Law No. 125-01. With this new session, the regulatory institution reaffirms its commitment to the professionalization of the human capital of the Dominican electrical system

During the event, Mr. Juan O. Velázquez, Vice President and Administrator of Costasur Dominicana, highlighted the importance of these initiatives for the company and for the Casa de Campo community. "Costasur reaffirms today its commitment to continue working hand in hand with the Superintendency of Electricity and with technical training institutions. We will continue supporting initiatives that raise the level of preparation of our technicians, strengthen the culture of safety, and enable us to fulfill our responsibilities of providing reliable, efficient, and top-tier energy service."expressed Velázquez, who thanked the SIE for sharing this vision.

The certifications granted by the SIE are the result of a competency-based training and evaluation process, designed to ensure that electrical technicians possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate with quality and safety.

The delivery of these credentials to Costasur Dominicana's employees represents a significant step in strengthening the internal technical capabilities of the operating company of the Casa de Campo Tourist Complex, and underscores its alignment with the national quality and safety standards required by the regulatory entity.

The event concluded with a call to continue the professionalization of the sector, for the benefit of the quality of service received by end users.
