
The Altos de Chavón Art Gallery presented on March 20th the opening of the exhibition “Aquiles Azar, Always Drawings,” a show that pays tribute to the outstanding career of master Aquiles Azar, highlighting his unique artistic language centered on drawing.
The exhibition brings together a curated selection of works that reflect the recurring themes in the artist's producción, among which stand out leaves, bottles, vases, faces, doves, portraits, and fists. In addition to his recognized work as a draftsman, Aquiles Azar also distinguished himself as a renowned poet, contributing a literary dimension to his creative legacy.
On opening night, approximately 27 people attended, enjoying an intimate and cozy atmosphere. At the opening ceremony, welcome remarks were given by Asia de Azar and Mildred Canahuate, who shared reflections on the artist's work and impact.
The activity proceeded according to the planned schedule, standing out for efficient logistical execution and a satisfactory experience for attendees. Special guests and the general public expressed their pleasure with both the quality of the exhibition and the attention provided by the organizing team.
