The magic of Altos de Chavón was felt again on Friday, June 27, with a new installment of Jazzy Nights, the summer's first jazz gathering, which filled the iconic main square of this marvelous venue with music, art, and joy.
Starting at 7:30 PM, jazz melodies began to envelop attendees in a cool and relaxed atmosphere, while talented young painters brought their works to life live in front of St. Stanislaus Church in Krakow.
The plaza was packed with visitors enthusiastically exploring every corner of Chavón. The restaurants, filled with diners, provided the perfect setting for a special dinner before continuing the evening with a stroll by the fountain and enjoying the open-air art.
The event, as usual, offered something for the whole family. While some adults let themselves be carried away by the rhythm of jazz, dancing or socializing at the tables set up around the square, others relaxed in the comfortable red beanbag chairs scattered throughout the area. The little ones also had their moment in the spotlight, actively participating in the children's painting workshop, where they showed off their creativity and enthusiasm.
Local talent was present not only on the canvases but also in the musical performance that accompanied the event. The jazz band, composed of young Dominican musicians, captivated the audience with their vibrant harmonies and their ability to connect with the listeners, creating an immersive atmosphere that invited them to stay.
Throughout the night, memorable scenes unfolded: families sharing laughter, couples enjoying art and music under the dim plaza lights, groups of friends immortalizing the moment with photographs, and children focused on their brushstrokes, proud of their creations.
Jazzy Nights is an attractive and accessible proposal from Altos de Chavón, a monthly event that invites you to experience art up close, with live music and the beauty of community gatherings. With the arrival of summer, this event promises to continue offering unforgettable nights where jazz, painting, and good company are the true protagonists.
