The announcement that revolutionized the tenth edition of the Latin America Amateur Championship, held at Pilar Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and which crowned Justin Hastings of the Cayman Islands as the winner, had Casa de Campo Resort & Villas as its main protagonist.

During the regular press conference held by the LAAC Founding Partners, where Lima Golf Club in Peru was confirmed as the host of the 2026 championship, the #1 golf resort in the Caribbean was selected by the Masters, The R&A, and the USGA to host the first LAAC Academy. The program will allocate resources to the education and instruction of players in Latin America. The format will be similar to the one launched nearly seven years ago in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.

The LAAC Academy is designed as a week-long training program where players will receive world-class instruction in key areas of high-performance competition such as nutrition, short game skills, sports psychology, physical training, analysis, and technical swing improvement. Founding Partners of the LAAC will cover all expenses to allow for the participation of any type of player.

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas has a strong connection with the Latin America Amateur Championship, having hosted the event on three occasions: 2016, 2019, and 2022.
