Last Friday, September 20th, Casa de Campo Resort & Villas was the setting for an exclusive event alongside Moringaia co-founders, Ben-Yam and Elah Barshi, where attendees had the opportunity to get an up-close look at the vision and values that drive this innovative Dominican brand of skincare and wellness products. Held at The SPA Casa de Campo, the event commemorated the collaboration between both brands, focusing on natural beauty and a commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.
During the encounter, guests not only explored the Moringaia product line, used in the Spa's exclusive treatments, but also participated in a symbolic moringa tree planting ceremony. This gesture honors Moringaia's reforestation mission and represents the beginning of a larger-scale project that includes planting additional trees around the Spa, integrating this species into the resort's landscaping to create an immersive experience for clients.
Charles Keusters, Director of Operations at Casa de Campo, thanked the attendees for their participation, highlighting the importance of initiatives like this one: «These activities not only allow us to share the work we do with great intention in the SPA, but they also provide an opportunity to highlight the companies with which we form key partnerships, such as Moringaia. We are delighted that our wonderful SPA can drive and promote such significant projects as Moringaia's.”.
Irene Campana, Director of SPA & Wellness at Casa de Campo, added, «From the very beginning of the SPA project, we wanted to collaborate with brands that not only offer high-quality products but also share our commitment to nature. In Moringaia, we found that perfect partner.» Campana also emphasized that a large part of the SPA's menu includes Moringaia products, which enhance the exclusive facial protocols developed by the brand specifically for Casa de Campo.
For her part, Elah Barshi, co-founder of Moringaia, said: «We are delighted to be able to collaborate with Casa de Campo, a place that understands the value of sustainability, our brand, and consistently supports our vision.».
Ben-Yam Barshi also highlighted the exceptional benefits of moringa, mentioning: «Moringa is a superfood that contains more vitamin C than oranges, more calcium than milk, more vitamin A than carrots, and more protein than yogurt. It is a true nutritional treasure that not only benefits the skin, but everything.» Additionally, he emphasized that Moringaia's mission is to plant one million trees as part of its commitment to reforestation and the local community.
The event also delighted the senses thanks to the culinary team of Casa de Campo, who presented a menu inspired by the organic products from the Moringaia estate. Attendees enjoyed a pineapple and mango tartare with vegan passion fruit tiger's milk and Moringaia pink peppercorns, pleurotus mushroom skewers in a pastor style with Moringaia annatto, and a spinach, moringa, and katuk quiche (a leaf highly regarded in tropical Asia and also produced on the Moringaia estate), among other delights.
On Saturday, September 21st, the experience continued with two Moringaia Glow Masterclass sessions. Participants, led by Elah Barshi and the The SPA team, learned how to incorporate Moringaia products into their daily skincare routines, as well as sampling moringa cookies and discovering Moringaia's new chocolate. Attendees were welcomed with a refreshing “Moringaia Glow Smoothie” made with moringa and pitaya, a symbolic combination that reflects the close relationship between these two plants on the Moringaia farm.
These events are part of a series of activities organized by The SPA Casa de Campo to share their offerings with the community and resort guests. The upcoming events will take place on October 4th and 5th, in collaboration with Carolina Socias Beachwear, a Dominican resort wear brand dedicated to sustainability, using eco-friendly fabrics and ethical manufacturing processes.
