La Romana. Last Saturday, August 12th, Fundación MIR once again held its traditional annual event, Family Day 2023, with a fun golf tournament, a paddle tournament, and a tennis clinic for the whole family at the Country Club of Casa de Campo Resorts & Villas. This event is held with the goal of raising funds for more than 2,400 families in the La Romana community.

Dozens of players from the Casa de Campo community and from across the country attended the golf tournament, who each year decide to show their support through a charitable round of their favorite sport.

Meanwhile, the tennis courts at the Country Club were packed with enthusiastic boys and girls, who from an early age are beginning to feel the philanthropic and charitable spirit motivated by their parents.

In the evening, the participants enjoyed the awards dinner, which was hosted by the charismatic master of ceremonies Laura De La Nuez. The musical ambiance was provided by Sergio Pierret, and the spectacular audiovisual production was by Nelson García Fortuna.

As is tradition, a beautiful performance by the children of the MIR Foundation, directed by graduate and music teacher Felix Cruz Santana, was not to be missed.

Mrs. Lian Fanjul de Azqueta expressed her gratitude to the attendees. “Each one of you is a piece of Fundación MIR; everything we have achieved has been because you believed in me and in our work,” she stated.

Furthermore, the lady invited everyone present to visit the foundation's schools, so they could see “a little piece of the future of La Romana.”.
