Ongoing projects

Costasur continues to expand and build upon the Casa de Campo® Master Plan by working on projects aimed at improving the quality of life and services we provide to our residents and visitors alike.

Dye Fore Estates IV Area

Picture yourself lounging by a pool on the terrace, surrounded by a cool breeze. Listen to laughter and fun from your friends and guests filling the air. Gazing beyond the garden, the perfectly manicured greenery radiates perfection. A golfer in the distance and the reflection of the beautiful sky, clouds, and trees on the surface of Dye Fore’s many lakes. A flock of multicolored and white birds suddenly take flight, catching the gentle Caribbean breeze beneath their wings. As they fly off, they are swept away by happiness. This is a dream home, built exactly as it was conceived, in the most perfect location.

Dye Fore Estates IV in Casa de Campo is right on the Dye Fore golf course, just a few minutes from the main entrance, and consists of only seven lots in phase 1. If peace and quiet is a dream, Dye Fore Estates IV is where you want to be. For more information, please contact Casa de Campo® Real Estate: (809) 523-8129/ 8179.

Recreational nature reserve

Costasur has developed a natural recreational park to attract and meet the demands of a contemporary community that enjoys an active lifestyle and outdoor recreation options. This accessible open and recreational space enhances the value of the area’s real estate developments and is geared towards a more inclusive and environmentally aware future. This 65-acre (26.3 hectares) space, for enjoying nature, sports, and recreation, is set between the Los Altos residential complex and the Dye Fore Lakes golf course on the shores of Vista Lagos and Los Flamboyanes.

The concept blends in with the natural beauty of the area, taking special care to preserve endemic plant and wildlife species, while creating a space for Casa de Campo owners, residents, and guests to enjoy. Costasur is working in partnership with experts from the Santo Domingo National Botanical Garden and the Hispaniola Ornithological Society to ensure that key endemic plant and bird species, such as the giant cactus, are conserved.

The main feature of the Natural Recreational Park is its trails designed to increase connectivity between Altos de Chavón, Los Altos, Los Flamboyanes and Vista Lagos. Future phases will also include the development of sports and recreational facilities, children's playgrounds, meadows, as well as an area for staging small outdoor events. This reserve and its endemic species are sure to be enjoyed and admired by everyone, whether on foot or by bicycle.

Water conservation project

Costasur supplies potable water throughout Casa de Campo®, locally sourced and treated here to supply all homes and facilities within the complex. Costasur is aware of the growing need to conserve water for the future following evidence that the global climate is changing rapidly, and droughts will continue to affect Casa de Campo for years to come. For this reason, to guarantee the long-term sustainability of the water supply, Costasur has begun to implement a water management plan and has set in place policies and best practices aimed at reasonably reducing water consumption. The use of irrigation systems will also help preserve the golf courses and common green areas, and a communications program will encourage community members and employees to adopt more rational water consumption practices.

Costasur is working to ensure that clean, treated water is reserved exclusively for personal consumption. The golf course and landscape irrigation systems are gradually being replaced with a secondary water supply that uses recycled and minimally treated water.

In addition, an automatic, regulated, drip irrigation system can provide more efficient coverage of most gardens, leading to a more efficient and sustainable use of water resources. Costasur is testing this system in several residential areas with a view to scaling up its use soon.

Ultimately, our duty is to make residents and property owners aware that local, regional, and global water shortages are a reality. Even if residents are paying low rates for water supply and usage, this does not justify wasteful use. In the future, our whole community must work together proactively to ensure that plentiful, clean water is available to all.
