Last Wednesday, May 1st, the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) held an enriching Business Meeting in the prestigious Cacique conference hall, located at Casa de Campo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event featured the distinguished presence of Ms. Amelia Vicini, a partner at INICIA, who served as the guest speaker. Her presentation, titled \u00abCorporate Governance in Family Businesses,\u00bb provided a comprehensive perspective on the importance of corporate governance, outlining the advantages of its establishment and proper functioning in the business world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her presentation, Mrs. Vicini emphasized the diversity of existing business models, management structures, and governance rules, underscoring that, while there are no perfect recipes, there are best practices for achieving optimal corporate governance in family-owned businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting featured the active participation of dozens of businesspeople from the Casa de Campo community, La Romana, as well as other locations in the country, who had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences in this relevant business field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
