Last Friday, October 20th, the Casa de Campo Country Club was the scene of an emotional gathering in honor of Gilles Gagnon, who celebrated his seventy-fifth birthday surrounded by friends and loved ones. The surprise was the main course of the evening, organized by those who wish to honor this extraordinary man, honorary director of the Casa de Campo golf department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visibly moved, Gilles Gagnon met with a group of friends he deeply appreciates from the Casa de Campo community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, a touching video was presented in which friends and family expressed their congratulations and shared their appreciation for him. They spared no praise in describing the qualities that make him a special person, highlighting his honesty, charisma, problem-solving ability, human warmth, and love for his family. The video also included funny scenes of special moments in Gilles Gagnon's life.

La Romana Country Club had the honor of presenting a plaque of recognition to Mr. Gagnon, signed by the club's president, Alfonso Fanjul. With this gesture, they welcomed him as a lifelong honorary member of the club, a tribute to his outstanding contribution to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilles Gagnon is the face of golf at Casa de Campo, dedicating his energy to the resort since his arrival in 1981. As Director of Golf Emeritus, Gagnon oversees the entire golf operation, as well as the golf shops and tournaments. He also helps promote the resort, travels worldwide, and maintains a year-round event program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to these roles, he has also distinguished himself as a professional golf and hockey coach in the United States. His academic background with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Teaching and Coaching from the University of Michigan supports him as an expert in his field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
